Llevo un rato fastidiada de las cosas, las redes sociales, las expectativas del público, la inteligencia artificial, etc… Me es imposible mantener el ritmo que se espera de un creador en internet hoy en día así que como forma de rebelión(?) quería hacer la cosa más lenta, artesanal e invendible posible.
I’ve been fed up by a lot of things, social media, public expectations, artificial intelligence, etc… It’s imposible for me to keep up with all the things a creator is supposed to do in today’s internet so as a way to antagonize the algorithm(?) I wanted to do something slow, handcrafted and unsellable.
Escribí mi lluvia de ideas y el guion inicial en una libreta, misma donde después hice los thumbnails, boceté todas las páginas a lápiz en papel de impresora barato y lentamente voy entintando las páginas con pluma y tinta india.
I wrote my ideas and the first draft in notebook, same one I used to draw thumbnails, I sketched all the pages with pen on cheap printer’s paper and now I’m slowly in the process of inking the pages with ink and nib.
Escribo esto aquí solo como testamento de que en estos tiempos donde todo se mueve muy rápido y mucha gente quiere soluciones fáciles en lugar de hacer las cosas por si mismo… Aún puedes elegir ir en contra de la corriente y hacer algo que llene tu corazón sin importar el tiempo que tome.
I write this as testament that in these times where everything moves way too fast and people want easy solutions instead of puttin in the effort… You can still choose to go against the current and make something that actually brings your heart joy no matter how much time it takes.
